IASL provides an international forum promoting effective school library media programs as viable instruments in the educational process. They also offer guidance and advice for the development of school library programs and the school library profession.
International Baccalaureate Organization
IBO is a nonprofit educational foundation based in Switzerland. Founded in 1996, it offers a quality curriculum that encourages international understanding and responsible citizenship. Many international schools are adopting this curriculum.
IFLA
IFLA, The International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions, is the leading international body representing the interests of library and information services and their users. Librarians who are interested in the global scene but who cannot work abroad may want to consider becoming active in this organization.
